We only accept applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). We will accept applications for the upcoming year from September through January.
A complete application consists of the following:
- Common application form
- Personal statement
- Dean's letter
- Transcript from your medical school
- USMLE step 1 and 2 scores (when available); we do accept COMLEX scores in place of USMLE but encourage you to submit both if possible. We do not have a minimum score specification.
- Three letters of recommendation
All applications are carefully reviewed. If you are selected for an interview, the administrative program manager will send you an invite email via the ERAS system asking you to choose an interview date that works with your schedule. Interviews will be scheduled on Fridays beginning at the end of October.
After you have been scheduled, you will receive a confirmation email through the ERAS system. For planning purposes, you should arrive in Savannah on the Thursday before your interview by 6:00 pm to attend dinner with the residents. Your interview day will be completed by 1:30 pm on Friday. The airport is about 20 minutes away from the hospital - depending on traffic.
