At Memorial Health University Medical Center (MHUMC), we constantly strive to strengthen the overall educational experience we provide, and all of the residents who participate in our program are certain to benefit.
Memorial Health's Curtis and Elizabeth Anderson Cancer Institute at MHUMC provides the most advanced cancer care in the region. The Memorial Health Heart & Vascular Institute includes 54 ICU beds and six digital angiographic suites for cardiology, vascular, and neurovascular efforts. And, Mercer University School of Medicine's Savannah campus is located at MHUMC. Our internal medicine faculty members are actively involved in the problem-based-learning educational format and this has already contributed to the energy, innovative nature, and quality of our resident educational initiatives.
Active team-based learning has been a great success. We were able to achieve this by working with other educators around the country and being open to change in our efforts to provide residents with the best education possible.
Direct, daily faculty supervision enhances the training experience.

Residents who graduate from our program are strong candidates for positions in outpatient practice, hospitalist positions, and traditional primary care. Many also decide to further their education through subspecialty training.
